A person with monkeypox has been found in Bengaluru
Monkeypox has now reached the capital Bangalore. The health department has informed about the discovery of a person with monkeypox symptoms.
Monkeypox has been identified in a person of African descent. In this regard, the patient is being given more care in a private hospital in the city. The health department officials said that this has been monitored.
A person who had come to Bangalore from Ethiopia on July 4 was found to have symptoms of monkeypox. A man of African origin, who had arrived in Bangalore for a kidney transplant, was found to have itching and small blisters in some parts of his body.
Commissioner of Health Department Randeep said that the suspect's sample, which showed symptoms of monkeypox, has been sent to a science laboratory in Pune.
